All of the hotels and major businesses are surrounded by gates like this one. (This is at the Crowne Plaza)
View out the window of our van of downtown Port Moresby. Really not much of a city, especially for being a capital.
This is the Bank of the South Pacific. Cool building, and well-known because it a helicopter landed on the roof and robbed it back in 2002. Ooooo, James Bond-ish. Except that the PNG shot the helicopter down over the port.

Dammit! That helicopter-bank-robbery- shot-down-over-the-bay thing was the plotline of my new screenplay! All that work imagining and writing down the drain!
