Tess and her French professor (she's taking lessons 3 times a week) at the Crowne Plaza. That Friday night, we ran into the head of the only local TV station, EmTV. He invited us back to his private room in the restaurant where we met and had drinks with the Happy Gardener, a famous TV personality here, a man named Kamal (apparently a big superstar in Australia- kind of a Wayne Newton-type), and the former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea!!!!
We went to the local market to get some fresh food for the dinner party. They carefully stacked everything!
The vendors usually sat on the ground with their wares.
