For the Love of Art, Part 1

.
There was a really cool exhibit at Uni of original paintings (well, copies) and then a Papua New Guinea version. Enjoy!

Say Hello to My Little Friend...

The frog sitting on my window sill this morning. He's on glass, so I can see all his little toes from underneath. As I write this, he's still sitting next to me, nappin'. This frog and I have a lot in common.

So green. Tess thinks we should call him Kermit, of course, but this morning I think I named him "Holy sh**!" as I leapt from my chair.

The Streets of Philadel...er, Port Moresby

In the mornings, there are lots of people sitting on the street corners with tables. I think they are selling food.

I'm trying to capture (as we fly by in the van) how tons of people are always walking, always crossing the streets, etc.

Another attempt to capture the walkers

Home Sweet Home

This is a look at a nicer home here in Port Moresby. They all have fences around them, and nearly every surface here is covered in graffitti, very unfortunately. The island is beautiful, but it's the people who make it look trashy.

A look at the razor wire that tops most fences around hotels and residences.
